Just minutes after the conclusion of the 2008 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed, in principal, on a trade involving their first selections of the draft. Here’s the details:

Timberwolves get:

  • Kevin Love (#5 overall)
  • Mike Miller

  • Jason Collins

Grizzlies get:

  • OJ Mayo (#3 overall)

I think this is a great trade for Memphis now they have the back court of the future with Conley, Mayo, and Gay and they have Warrick and Arthur developing at power foward. And Love is a white Mchale clone. The trade actually will not help either teams because there in the west and there not going to make the playoffs no matter how good Mayo and Love play. But for the future its great for both teams.
